Your Community, Your UK Parliament – An Introduction
This interactive workshop will look at how participants can get their voice heard in Parliament. Lasting between one and two hours, and designed for a minimum of 15 people, attendees get a full overview of how UK Parliament works for them:
- How can they get their voices heard by MPs?
- What does the House of Lords do?
- How do MPs and Lords raise issues on their behalf?
This session can be delivered online or in-person. Sessions are available in Welsh. Translators can be arranged for other community languages. UK Parliament is committed to accessibility of all sessions and we will work with you to ensure the workshop is accessible to your group

Are you influential? Get your voice heard in UK Parliament
This workshop is designed for a minimum of 15 people, particularly those who may have had some basic engagement with Parliament before. Attendees develop a deep understanding of how to raise the issues which mean the most to them:
- How can they take action?
- What tools help influence debates, decisions, and legislation?
- How can they build relationships with MPs and Lords?

EMPOWER! For adults with learning disabilities
This workshop is tailored to make it accessible for the needs of your group, including quizzes and role plays, using resources designed for and by adults with learning disabilities.
Your group will discover more about:
- The work of the House of Commons and MPs
- The work and membership of the House of Lords
- The role of parliament in checking the work of the government
- How you can get your voice heard on issues that matter to you
The session is designed for a minimum of 10 people, including carers and promote active citizenship skills for life. Find out more about our work with adults with disabilities here.

Take Action: workshops designed for young people
By the end of this session attendees will have an introductory knowledge of how UK Parliament works and feel confident to take action on issues that matter to them.
Attendees will have an opportunity to:
- Identify and discuss issues which matter to them, both locally and nationally and think about how they might improve this.
- Find out what happens in a General Election.
- Learn about the role of MPs and Peers.
- Find out how laws are made.
This session is interactive and activity based, focusing around three actions which attendees can take during the session:
- Register to vote
- Contact an MP or Lord about an issue they are passionate about
- Sign or start a petition.
