Teacher Training Seminar Day: The Work of an MP

Join us for our annual post-16 Politics and Modern Studies teacher seminar day, co-hosted with the Political Studies Association (PSA)

This year we’ll be focussing on the role of an MP. In the morning, we’ll take you on a tour of the House of Commons and House of Lords. If you can’t join us until later, you’ll have the opportunity to watch a debate at the end of the day. In the afternoon we will be joined by academics from the PSA, and then from MP guest speakers. 

Lunch will be provided between 12:00-13:00. 

If you teach at a state-funded school/college in Band B or C of our travel subsidy policy, we can assist with the costs of your travel to UK Parliament. If you fall into this category, please do not book your own travel. If you’re successful in gaining a place, we’ll do this for you. 

Places are limited. A reserve list will be created if applications exceed capacity. We’ll contact you to let you know the outcome.
