What is Learn with the Lords in School?
Learn with the Lords in School is a unique opportunity for your students to interact with a member of the House of Lords.
A member of the House of Lords will visit your school in-person and deliver an informative presentation for your students before taking their questions. The visits take place on selected Fridays in term-time.
By engaging and interacting with a Baroness or Lord, your students will learn more about the vital role of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.

Who can take part?
All UK based secondary schools and colleges are eligible to apply for a Learn with the Lords in School visit. Schools are selected based on the availability of members of the House of Lords. Should you be selected, our team will be in touch 4-6 weeks in advance of your allocated date.
We ask for a minimum group size of 30 students for a Learn with the Lords in School visit.
How does the visit work?
A Learn with the Lords in School visit lasts for approximately 2 hours. This includes:
• A 15-minute window for meet and greet on arrival
• A 60-90 minute presentation and Q&A session
• A 15-minute window for photos and goodbyes
On applying for a visit below, you can select appropriate dates that suit your school timetable. The more dates you select, the more likely you are to receive a visit.
If a member is available to visit your school on one of your preferred dates, our team will be in touch 4 to 6 weeks in advance to make the arrangements.
As part of this, we will arrange a 15-minute Microsoft Teams meeting between yourself, your Lord or Baroness and a member of our team, to make introductions and confirm the exact details for the session. This will take place 1-2 weeks before your visit.
