What your student’s will learn

The following videos will support students’ thinking around disability legislation.

In the first video Nancy talks about her experience as an amputee, and how in the years following her operation she struggled to access the places she used to, such as theatres and sports arenas.

In the second video, Adi explains how he was discriminated against at university when applying for a job and how the Disability and Discrimination Act 1995 helped him challenge this behaviour.

The resource pack includes:

  • Background information about the videos
  • Questions to consider and discuss
  • Glossary of legislation
