UK Parliament’s Outreach Officers are based in every nation and region in the UK. Our free training sessions offer community groups first-hand expertise, guiding them through how UK democracy works and how they can take action on issues they care about.
Who we work with
We work with a wide range of communities and organisations. Based on research from the House of Commons Library, we have identified our five key target audiences:
• Young people
• Women’s groups
• People from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds
• Disabled people
• People who are long-term unemployed
We prioritise working with these groups.
All our sessions are available in Welsh. Please indicate when booking if you would like your session delivered in Welsh.
Accessibility and special requirements
We work closely with you to ensure our workshops are accessible for any participants with additional access needs including providing funding to cover certain costs, such as BSL signers. Please indicate when booking if you have accessibility and/or special requirements and an outreach officer will be in touch.
